![]() ![]() I mean I dont want to spend hours on a hard to use game engine and then learn that theres a easier game engine to use and I would be able to cut my dev. And he said he just wants to make a game and not get paid.ĪND TO EVERYONE ELSE WHO THINKS I WANT TO MAKE A GAME IN 5 MINUTES. No, I dont have any money to pay someone. Αναρτήθηκε αρχικά από Taycat:Sounds like you want a free chump to sit there and make you a game and then if you don't like it, you never pay them for their time wasted. I would love to help, but I got my own games to create. I recommend learning C# if you're using Unity.Īlright, I'm done here. And like I said, there's no shortcut to scripting. It's not about cutting down on time, its more of which one is suitable for your needs. Most game engines specialise in something and that is up to you to decide. I'm sure the Unturned developer didn't make this game in 5 minutes, 5 weeks or 5 months. But look at example projects, watch tutorials and read scripting references. ![]() It has simple drag and drop stuff, and for scripting, it doesn't matter what game engine you use, it still takes a long time to learn. That's all I can think of now, but I say Unity is the easiest method to go here. Unreal Engine publishes to Windows, Mac and iOS. Unity 3D of course, publishes multi-platforms so I went with this one.Īnd there is also the Source Engine, built by Valve, but I hear that's more difficult, but when mastered is amazing to use. :)Ĭryengine 3 is a free (I think) game engine, but it only publishes to Windows. Although I am not knowledgable about the other engines, go google them yourself. I know of a couple of game engines alongside Unity, so I'll list some here. Unturned, no matter how simple looking it is, is chock full of code and stuff there (it takes over 2000 lines of code to make a simple character script to run jump, look around and stuff in Unity, probably even more for complex characters). I'd go ahead and say that Unity is not a "put this here and it become game" thing. I'm a Unity developer (although I bite off more than I can chew sometimes and end up not finishing some of my projects, I do have plans for something more simple, although that is for another discussion) ![]()
